ReplyDeleteTuesday: Rain, Darkness, Lonely
Wednesday: Pitch Dark rooms, haunted house, thunder storms
Thursday: Surreal, whimsical
Friday: Confusion, Question marks, black swirls
You will turn in a sketch for each day/theme and also answer the following questions in the blog:
1. Happy, confusion. I get these emotions the most because when I'm happy, I think about things I like or watch comedies, when I'm confused, I think about millions of question marks in my head.
2. When I'm at disneyland when there's blue skies,
1)Monday- happiness, balloons, the sun, picnics, birthdays, clear blue skies (birthdays are usually fun, happy, the sun is bright, and clear blue skies are pretty)
ReplyDeleteTuesday- tears, dead plants and trees, death, funerals, sickness, heartbreak (sadness brings tears, usually because of emotional problems; dealing with death, heartbreak)
Wednesday-blood, killing, psychopaths, clowns, mental hospitals, ghosts, knives, scary movies (killing represents horror, dying)
Thursday-cotton candy clouds, flying pigs, twilight zone, drugs, dreams
(surrealism to me is sort of like fantasy, disbelief, not normal)
2. When I watched The Ring for the first time, it was the first scary movie I had ever seen. I was traumatized and couldn't sleep for a month. The movie made me think the little girl was in my room, and I couldn't sleep in a room where there was a TV for an extremely long time.
1. happy- sun, bunnies
ReplyDeletesad- tears, sad movies, disasters
horror- blood, knives, graves, spiders
surrealism- flying cupcakes, hand drawing hands
2. I watched Marley and me and i was really sad.
1. light, sun, peace and quiet
ReplyDelete2. darker, oppressive colors, solemnity
3. darkness, confinement, death
4. lack of consistency or continuity, things not possible in our world
2. one time, around two in the morning, i was sitting in my room when all of a sudden something started moving and sliding against my outside wall. It was scary, because I was sure it was the wild animals like wolves that live near my house, and my room is separate from my house, so i was isolated. Luckily, whatever it was went away.
1. I feel that a happy face represents happy, a dead flower represents sad, a knife represents fear and terror, a bunch of random shapes represents surreal and whimsical, and i felt that a mean triangle would fit something random and something of my choice.
ReplyDelete2. Sad: When my Grandmpa Died
1. I feel that the ocean represents joy and happiness, I think the pollution in the ocean is sad, i think the idea of me not being able to go fishing is terrifying, I think watching telletubies is surreal.
ReplyDelete2. I watched the footage of the haiti earthquake and that was sad.
1. I fell that the sun and smiles represent joy and happiness, the tears and mourning represent dramatic and sad, the screams and killer represent horror, the different patterns represent surreal and whimsical, and the steam and angry face represent my choice.
ReplyDelete2. When I got punished for something I didn't do, I felt like my angry/choice picture.
1) I feel that light blue represents happy/sad and dark blue is really sad. And yellow is happy. Red is blood and it’s a sad color.
ReplyDelete2) When my friend said that we’re not friends anymore, which made me very sad.
1. I like drawing faces because I can make them convey certain feelings. I drew a happy face the first day, a sad one the next, a dying girl on Wednesday, a girl entangled by her own crazy hair, and a cartoon about shoes for the last day.
ReplyDelete2. There are plenty of times in my life when I've been happy. Times spent with friends, good grades, or doing things that I love all give me that feeling of jubilation and joy.
1.) Joy: sun, flowers, the beach
ReplyDeleteSad: tears, rain, a wilting flower
Horror: vampires (the regular, non-sparkling kind), eyes watching you, a ghost
Whimsical: swirls, asterisks
2.) Over the summer, I was very joyful and happy. I didn’t have anything to worry
about, I got to hang out with my sister, and I could sleep for as long as I want. To me, the summer is very halcyon.
1. For joy I made a jumping person with a huge smile on their face because jumping is usually a way to express joy, a sun because the sunshine is always so soothing bright, a goldfish cracker is always smiling and I love them and the commercials make me happy, a balloon because as a child a balloon has always been a symbol of excitement and my favorite flower because usually things that you like make you happy.
ReplyDeleteFor sad I drew a little kid crying because his balloon popped because no matter how old you are when your balloon pops it something depressing, and little kids are quite devastated when something like that happens.
For terror I drew a ghost with creepy clawed hands and an insect with a creepy smile and the same creepy clawed hands, the claw hands is always something I draw when I think scary because its kind of a symbol of snatchers, and ghosts are scary and I don’t like bugs.
For whimsical I did my own interpretation of the Cheshire cat of Alice and wonderland because everything about that movie is incredibly whimsical so I thought that the cat would be apropos.
For Friday I just did a fruited tree and flowers because that is what I used to draw all the time when I was little.
2. Whenever I have goldfish crackers I get really happy because they’re yummy and they fill me up pretty good so I’m not totally hungry all the time.

Then this lady who worked in the mall saw me and took me to the information center. They announced my name and my mom’s name. After couple minutes, I finally saw my mom. It was so scary because that was the first time I ever been to that mall.

ReplyDelete1. I think that the symbols I used are not the objects or the subjects I wrote about its the emotion that cause me to draw what I did. I think its the way you draw the picture that puts in the emotion, so you can make any object a have a certain mood or feeling to it, depending on the way you draw it and the colors you put into it.
-Monday (happy): bright colors
-Tuesday (sad): red, dark colors
-Wednesday (horror): blood, death
-Thursday (whimsical): Bright colors, mystical
