Blog Assignment: May 2-May 20-Create a Website for Juries




On top of your final projects in New Media and in your strand, you will also create a website on which you will post the following items: jury pieces and resume.




Jury Pieces:
Using the site http://www.weebly.com, you will create your own personal website.  For your jury presentation at the end of the semester, you present your pieces via this website.

Resume:
On the server (Hall>Multimedia Lab>Blogs), you will find a resume template. You will create a one page resume to post on your weebly site. If you already have a resume, update and re-format it to fit CoSA Digital Media.


Final Portfolio Website Compilation-30 Points

  1. You will choose a minimum of (minimum requirements: graphics-10 pieces; animation- 3 pieces; film- 2 film pieces and a choice of design new media or pre-production piece) of your best work from this year to post, create and post a resume to apply for a photography intern, add 2 career and college/training resources, have an about me home page, and design/post all of the above elements into a final portfolio website
  2. You might break your projects into pages, special effects, color, black and white, fun stuff, etc.
  3. Do not post personal information on your resume, you may use the school address and phone #
  4. First you will need to create a free Weebly account at weebly.com
  5. Next you can begin to design your website utilizing the given templates
  6. Change the images, color, and layout using your own photos, resume, text boxes, etc.
  7. Save Photoshop files as JPEGS so you can upload them to the site and/or create a slideshow. Video and Animation students will post their videos on You Tube and imbed them onto the site. 
  8. Provide a title and brief description for the pieces you uploaded.
  9. Publish your final site
  10. List the link to your website on this blog comment so we can go to your website!

The final websites are due on Friday, May 20, 2011. 30 points.
