2.What questions did I ask myself as I worked that were not on the assignment list?
3. What ideas would I not have thought of without doing this assignment?
4. What did I learn by doing this artwork?
5. What are some other questions every artist should ask?
6. What important ideas were purposely omitted from this work?
7. What do I need to do next?
1. We gave to make a poster for horror night
ReplyDelete2. There weren't many requirements for this assignment so i just mainly asked myself which way i was going to go with the project
3. I usually don't think of scary things so this made me think of that.
4. I learned a new way to use photoshop. Just another skill to help me in future projects.
5. Does the full picture make sense? Does it catch your eye?
6. Light colors and happy aspects
7. Turn it in!
1. The assignment is to do a poster for the Horror Fest.
ReplyDelete2. I asked myself what kind of style, i would want to do, scary? cute? simple? complicated?
3. I would not have thought of the components of an advertisement if it were not for this assignment.
4. By doing this artwork, i learned that too complicated is not good, simple the better because that way it is easier to catch the audience's attention and keep it.
5. Some other questions every artist should ask is what feeling they are trying to convey and what colors they should use to convey the feeling appropriately.
6. The important ideas that were purposely omitted from this work would be not too scary because its at the middle school.
7. Next, i need to add the finishing touches.
~We are forming a advertisement poster for the horror film fest in Design New Media 2.
ReplyDelete~What approach am I going to take an happy or a scary ad. Also, what main colors I’m going to use.
~I would have though of the color scheme and a creepy eye without doing this assignment.
~I learned how to take something simple and add a certain tone to it with the design and colors.
~What kind of feeling do you want to give off? What’s the point of this project? And how am I going to apply my style to this project?
~I did not want to use many colors so a bright, colorful concept was omitted. Also, I didn’t want a complex project so I simplified.
~I need to put it on the server next and polish the blood splats.
1. Since I finished literally all of my assignments, (first time!) I'll talk about my Little Girl animation for my strand class.
ReplyDelete2. I guess the questions I asked myself were "How can I make this less and less cute?" when obviously, that didn't work.
3. I would have thought of something odd like a haunted caravan or a haunted ballroom or something. Or a make up boudoir kinda thing.
4. I learned from this animation that I shall never be able to make anything scary.
5. "Why can't you draw anything scary?" "You could choose other sounds and maybe do other, non lineless artwork." "Why did you draw this in the first place?"
6. The important ideas omitted from this artwork was that little ghost girls who write scary things in blood on their walls and turn out to be demons are... kinda scary.
7. I need to watch it combined with my fellow animators on Wednesday. :)
!. We are making a poster for horror night, it is the start of our advertising period.
ReplyDelete2.How can i make it look a little scary?
3. Trying to make a realistic moon on photoshop.
4. I learned how to make a realistic moon using a filter and making it spherical
5. How can i make this better? Is there something i don't like? Is this the best i can make this project?
6. Originally i wanted to make a wolf growling with its teeth showing and a moon in the right corner but then i just did a silhouette of a wolf howling in the moon light.
7. Add stars in the sky
1. It is for my 7th period class.
ReplyDelete2. Should i make it cute & simple, or scary and gory?
3. I would've never thought of making the text im using as droppings from blood.
4. That making a scary ghost is hard.
5. Is there anything else i can do to make this project more appealing to the eye? Should i change some colors around?
6. Halloween Theme & Black+Red colors
7. Fix my ghost!!!
1. The assignment is from my Design New Media class and it's a personal project that will correlate with our senior class project. I am going to take a picture of a young kid and that will be on one poster and the poster next to it will be a design that I create myself that parallels the kid's facial expression or "thoughts" that are going through his or her head.
ReplyDelete2.I asked myself what type of kid I would like to photograph (not in a creepy way) and also what designs were going to represent him or her.
3. Making a photography piece that relates to childhood. Without doing this or having our senior class come up with the theme of childhood, I would probably have done another tree piece.
4. Since I am still in the beginning stages of this project I am not completely sure what I am learning by doing this artwork.
5. Is my message clear in this piece of artwork?
Is this something that I want to stick with for many weeks?
How will this add to my first portfolio?
6. No important ideas were purposely omitted from this work. All the ideas are going to be presented in the final piece.
7. I need to continue sketching the piece that is going to be childish designs, that will of course be drawn and presented in a professional fashion.
1. I am currently working on an independent photography project. I am taking pictures, editing them, and choosing my favorites and putting them in s slide show thing.
ReplyDelete2. What can i do to make something unique that i will enjoy looking at.
3. I went through a lot of different ideas in the process of taking the pictures i took, so it gave me ideas for future projects.
4. I learned that the best ideas come when your not trying to do anything. if your trying to hard you cant think freely.
5. Every artist should ask themselves what they enjoy doing and then they should do it.
6. Anything that didnt have to do with something i like. i put alot of the things i like, such as animals, because i enjoy taking pictures of them.
7. Nothing, im done :)
1.) The project I am working on is the design for the CoSA Gala: Opening Night. This is for my 6th period class. For this project our inspiration is the red carpet.
ReplyDelete2.) I asked myself what shapes and colors I could use for the design. I also asked myself how I should lay out the graphics so that I could fit the text, be easy to read, and not have too much white space.
3.) Without doing this assignment, I would not thought of using silhouettes for people. Using these silhouettes, I can still show people without having something too distracting from the text.
4.) By doing this assignment, I learned to keep my designs simple, but still draw attention.
5.) Every artist should ask themselves what they are trying to achieve with their piece. For example, if I wanted people to read information, I would keep the background simple.
6.) Some ideas that were omitted were having simple shapes with a lot of detail inside and making a sort of collage.
7.) Next I need to finish the silhouette of a person and work on the background more.
1) My assignment in Ms. Woerman’s Design New Media class was business cards. We had to make our own business cards.
ReplyDelete2) I asked myself, “Is this the correct way to make it, and did I like it?”
3) I did not know how to have two colors in one gradient.
4) To keep the background layer frozen to work on the front of the business card.
5) Am I making this up, or I did I copy it?
6) I wanted to know how to add pictures or art to business cards.
7) The next thing I have to do next is to print my business card.
1.My 8th period assignment was to make a film based on certain guidelines.
ReplyDelete2. I asked myself if the plot made sense and if i had the required components.
3. I wouldn't have thought to make the project a parody, instead of a serious piece.
4. I learned how to write a script and how to story board.
5. "Is this what I want my work to reflect, or do I want to go in a different direction"
6. I omitted a few ideas because the project had strict guidelines.
7. Next I would like to do a more open ended project because this certain project had very strict guidelines.
1.My senior project contribution is a Multi-picture picture frame with images of two children growing up in love. the images portray important points in their lives, and are focused around a picture where they drew hearts on the wall.

ReplyDelete2. I contemplated how to make myself stand out while coinciding with my peers' strengths.
3. Reverting back to a childhood mindset manages to encompass where we want to be in the future and how we got to our current level.

5. I think every artist should consider multiple ways to interpret their work, in a good way.
6. I wanted to put some of my older work on display, but that wouldn't fit with the overall theme.
7. I need to gather supplies!
1. in my strand class, we are working on a character for an animation.
ReplyDelete2. i asked myself how much detail i should put into the character.
3. i would not thought of making the joints move with a sspecial tool that i never knew existed.
4. i learned that i had to put time into it to make it good.
5. maybe just what to make the character look like or maybe what color schemes to use for it.
6. i dont think i omitted any important ideas from this piece of work.
7. i need to animate him because i already finished drawing him.

ReplyDelete2. I asked myself frequently whether people would think my final product would be funny or not.
3. I wouldn't have had the opportunity to experiment with making a movie with little dialog.
4. I learned that making a long movie with little dialog can be more rewarding than a short sketch. Sometimes.
5. Every artist should consider whether what they're doing is worth the time.
6. I didn't omit anything that shouldn't have been omitted if that's what you're asking.
7. Well, I'm finished, but I could always think of a sequel.
1. I am currently working on my Storyboard Animation project in my strand class.
ReplyDelete2. How do I create transitions in Flash, to smooth out the animation?
3. I don’t really have ideas about my project. Maybe I’ll have ideas after it is completed.
4. I learned that I just need to roughly sketch and not have a lot of detail on paper. Details can be added on the computer.
5. Does the piece symbolize me in any way?
6. I don’t know what ideas were purposely omitted.
7. I need to work on smoothing out animation so that it doesn’t look so choppy.
1. In 6th period class, we are working on posters for “Roll Out The Red Carpet.” We basically have to design a poster for this event or night.

ReplyDelete1.The assignment was to make a horror film.
2.What idea i could do that could have cool locations to film.
3. We did two short films in the movie and after filming the first one and seeing we were missing a lot of shots, I realized I needed a shots list. Before this project I didn't really thing shot lists were needed.
4. I learned that portraying emotions is harder and that you really have to use all aspects: sound and visual to accomplish a reaction from the watcher. I thing out video lacked good sound.
5. After they have an idea they need to ask themselves: How would I make this?
6. We originally had three short film ideas that were going to tie into one plot, but we left out the third one because we ran out of time.
7. Need to plan better and concentrate on one idea instead of trying to mix all of my ideas into one movie. It makes putting the movie a challenge and hard for the watcher to follow.
1.The assignment from my strand was to create a flyer for the CoSA Gala. The theme was "Opening Night, Roll out the Red Carpet".
ReplyDelete2.I asked myself "How can I make this unique?" and "How can I incorporate the different CoSA departments into my flyer?"
3. I would not have thought of the possibility of using a silhouette, had I not done this project.
4. I didn't learn anything big, but I was able to improve on my tracing skills, as well as my use of color.
5. I think every artist should ask themselves "How can I make this better?" I think it's important to strive for improvement no matter how well you do or are doing on something.
6. I had to omit some of the themes representing the different CoSA branches, because they were too complex and I didn't have the time to use them.
7. I've now finished my project, and the next thing to do is to wait for more information and to see if my design in chosen. If it is, then I'll make adjustments where they are needed.
1. Right now we are learning about shading 3 dimensional objects.

5. What will this look like to the passing eye, Is the outcome neat, and does it get the message it needs to across.
6. I left out edges and I didn’t outline and I didn’t use a solid background color.
7. Print it out. And put it together.
1. I worked on the CoSA horror film for the Horror Fest.
ReplyDelete2. I asked myself about taking too many angles for when i was walking, because i thought it looked a little amateur.
3. I most likely wouldn't of made a horror film at all.
4. I learned about shots and not breaking the 180 degree rule.
5. I think artist should ask if they are breaking rule of thirds and the 180 degree rule.
6. I think that there were multiple things omitted because this project gave people a lot of creative room, where they could make the movie on whatever they thought would be a good horror film.
7. I actually completed this project a couple of days ago, so i am completely finished with this project.
1. I did a horror ad. Its from the movie strand.

1. The assignment is from my Video Production class and is the meeting project.
ReplyDelete2. The questions I asked myself that were not on this assignment were how should the mood be se and what time should I film.
3. The ideas I would not have thought of for this assignment were thought of using an actual car and raggedy clothes for a film.
4. I learned nothing by doing this artwork.
5. Some other questions every artist should ask are should I add more and should I have that in it.
6. Important ideas that were purposely omitted from this film are hitting Nils with the car and having us run in a field together.
7. I need to film next.
!) My assignment was the Halloween Horror Festival Project. I had to create a Horror/thriller or horror/thriller themed film that would be presented at the festival.
ReplyDelete2) The only requirement for this film was that we had to use royalty free music and it had to be horror/thriller themed. So every pretty much every question I asked my self was not on the list.
3) I would not have thought to make a serial killer video.
4) I learned that time is ALWAYS of the essence in film
5) Every artist should ask if there is anyway they could improve their piece.
6) Fear, and severity were thrown out the window when I made this piece.
7) I do not know what I have to do next. I'm hoping for a free project assignment so I can't get to work on what I truly want to make.
1. For seventh period, I’m working on a perspective project. I’m doing 3 perspective sketches and will finalize one of them using photoshop.
ReplyDelete2. How can I learn more about drawing in perspective?
3. I never would’ve thought about how to put in details in the scenes.
4. I learned a lot about drawing in different points of perspective and how much more difficult it is than it seems.
5. Does this piece portray what I want to be portrayed? Can I still improve it?
6. I didn’t include a lot of small details in the sketches.
7. I need to finish the three point perspective sketch and then color it in photoshop.
1. We have to create a poster for opening night of the gala. It is from my strand class.
ReplyDelete2. How can I make it different from everyone else’s?
3. Incorporating an old artwork piece in it.
4. It’s not that hard to make skin look somewhat real.
5. How can I make it stand out?
6. Advertising an event

ReplyDelete2. I ask myself that if it looks the way I imaged, and do I need change anything?
3. I wouldn’t think to put my red carpet vertically.
4. I used everything I learned before, so I didn’t learn much from this artwork.
5. If this make people think too much? Or, what will others see in this artwork?
6. Creepy, or weird images.
7. Nothing, I already turned it in.
1. My assignment was one of the films for the Halloween Horror Film Festival which was called "The Dust Bunny"
ReplyDelete2. I was wondering if me and my team would be able to finish filming on time, and what would be the best shots to get for the montage. But the hardest part was the sound editing.
3. I had never worked with animals before, having a dog be part of the movie was challenging.
4. I learned that dialog can be hard to work with and specially trying to take off background audio that was unneeded
5. Do we have a tape? Do we have battery? What is our actor doing now? those were the three main questions asked.
6. While writing the script we tried to stay as close to it as possible so in the end we didn't omit anything.
7. I have nothing to complete right now, I'm waiting for the next assignment.
1. I am making another R. Stevie video for seventh period.
ReplyDelete2. Would R. Stevie like this, is this adequate enough to go into a puppet festival
3. I initially was not planning on doing this for class, but it happened to fit within the requirements for the artist contract
4. I haven't done it yet.
5. Are they doing it for themselves or for the sole purpose of someone else assigning it to them?
6.Honestly, I haven't been putting enough thought into this due to my plans for my senior project.
7. Start it.
1. Right now I'm starting my independent project. I've chosen to create a collage on cardboard, and it has the theme of 'childhood.'
ReplyDelete2. I asked myself if I would actually put all my effort into it if it started to not turn out how i intended. I usually have very grand visions and I asked myself if I could have a realistic idea of what I wanted to do.
3. I probably would not have thought about how freaking amazing my childhood was. My parents didn't spoil me, but I just went through the family photo albums and reflected a little bit on what I'm trying to portray in the collage.
4. Well...since I've just started, I haven't "learned" anything so far except that my parents love me more than I previously thought.
5.
- "Does this idea represent me?"
- "Can I realistically achieve my vision?"
- "Will this piece be relatable?"
- "Does it matter?"
6. Nothing so far.
7. I need to get my box in here and start making a foundation. I've got a lot of magazines to cut up, lots of props to glue on, and a stuffed animal to rip up and put back together.

Nielsen Moffatt
ReplyDelete1. The assignment I am working on is creating horror films for the Halloween Horror Film Festival.
2. Questions I asked myself, not on the list were related to how the film was going to look. How can we make this look more real; will be scary, yet funny; will people enjoy it? How can we make it so that they remember it?
3. If I hadn't had this assignment I would not have thought of using color correcting to make a shot filmed in the day to look like it was filmed at night.
4. How to better use light and color for a better outcome. Also the use of silence is powerful.
5. Every artist should ask about how to do things in the best way possible. Like keeping track of the amount of time it takes to do each part of the project. How to make the best use of that time in order to produce the best possible outcome.
6. We omitted things that took a lot of time. We wanted it to be simple yet scary.
7. It's time to enjoy the show! Time to pop some popcorn, invite our friends over, sit back and enjoy watching our films over and over again, to see what we would do better next time and because this was a lot of fun!
