-Catch Me If You Can
-A film about the life of a con artist named Frank Abagnale starring Leonardo Dicaprio. True story.
-It thought there were a lot of witty little one-liners in the film. I like to do that to my movies too.
-I thought the actor chosen to play the FBI agent (Tom Hanks) chasing Frank throughout the film was a little weak. The script was great, and it flowed well, but that actor just brought the performance down a notch.
2. James Cameron
-Nils Marsolais
-True Lies
-This film is an action comedy starring Arnold Schwarzeneggar about an anti-terrorist agent.
-I liked how the film was, in a sense, a parody of other action films, but it still retained dignity that is rare in parodies. I like to parody things while keeping that dignity, too.
-I think the piece included too many aspects of the main character's personal life to the point where the drama inhibited the humor.
3. Mel Brooks
-Ross McGuyer
-Silent Movie
-A completely dialogue free film about a film producer on his last leg.
-I like how the film reached into cinematography's past and pulled out a unique aspect (silent films) to include in a modern film. I think that the best films were made before special effects became Hollywood's standard, so I take inspiration from old films, too.
-I think to be even more retro, the film should've been black and white.

~Love the Way You Lie
~This song/music video sums up the emotions during the ups and downs of love. It shows how blinded some people are when they are in love.
~The music video demonstrates the impact of colors in setting the tone of the music video. The song expresses strong feelings which I try to capture in my work.
~They shouldn't have used the same guy who plays a hobit in Lord of the Rings because every time I look at him I think of him as a hobit. Also, I think that shouldn't had a seen where Eminem is singing in a field it just doesn't really make sense.

~Titanic
~This movie takes the historic event of the sinking of the Titanic and turns it into a romance story about two people from different social classes that meet on the ship.
~This movie gets up emotional tied into the story of the couple. I want to have that unforgettable effect on people.
~The movie is extremely long. I think that they should make it so its less time but still has the same major effects.
3. JJ Adams

~the t.v. series LOST
~A plane crashes on a mystical island that cannot be escaped. As the series continues, there are alternate dimensions, crazy smoke monsters, and fight amongst the characters. In the end, everyone dies and meets up in the afterlife.
~This piece consists of the greatest battle of all better good and evil. I want to try to incorporate the conflict between light and dark in my work.
~I think the fourth season need to be more realistic and less corny. Also, I believe that they should have made it more entertaining and less complicating.

6. I really can't see any weakness in this piece. The more I look at it the more I like it and find the creative ways in which they are presenting their information in a logical and humorous way. There is a curved green shape coming out of the top next to the stem to represent the leaf. Underneath is thin text, all capitalized that says, "Tomato." The copyright symbol is right next to it in smaller text.
5. I think that the font represents my style the most. Not my overall style, but the style of text I like. I'm usually drawn to using fonts that either are very thin, crisp, and clean or resembling handwriting.
6. I didn't see a main weakness to the piece. I really like it. I guess what I would change about it would be the stem color. I don't think that black is the proper choice. However, then the tomato and the text would not be connected in any way, so I can't say that I would know how to resolve that.

3. 3 Leroys
4. The design is for a bottle of wine. From the spout of the wine bottle, there are three strings, one white, one light blue, and one orange. Attached to each string is the silhouette of a person, each in a different jumping/falling position, each in the respective color of the line connecting it to the spout. The text close to the bottom of the bottle is, "3 Leroys" in bold. The number 3 is on the first line, the 'Leroys' is underneath. This is aligned to the left. This text is in white and large. Beneath, centered and much smaller, is the year '2005' in the same white blue as one of the lines/people attached to the top. There are two thin lines, also blue, on each side. Below this is the description of the wine, also centered, in the orange of the other string/person.
5. I think that the simplicity of the design and the simplicity of the colors really is my style the most.
6. I did not like that there was such a huge difference between the size of the title of the wine and the year/description. I felt that the title was too close and too large to the other text, so it overwhelmed them a little bit.
Piece #3:

4. Spirited away of the story of a young girl who, when she loses her parents to a moment of gluttony, finds herself in a spirit world. In the end, she wins her freedom by outsmarting the master of the spa-house and also wins her friend freedom by remembering his name, which she learned when she was very little. She returns to her family, ready to face the changes that are about to occur in her life.
5. I don't really have a film style, but my favorite part about the movie is the idea that everything in life is connected and very spiritual. The main character, in the end, is made confident by having the interaction with the spirits, which I find very parallel to my outlook on life.
6. I haven't seen the movie in a long time, but I don't really remember there being anything that I didn't really like.

4. This picture shows the sheer face of a mountain peak, with a group of people in the corner. In the background, you can see another mountain, and the clouds above are slightly parted to reveal shafts of yellow-orange sunlight.
5. Although I don't have any experience with photography, the way that color is used is similar to the way I use color when painting, or any other sort of medium that involves color.
6. Everything seems rather dark, with very little light, and I think that makes this particular landscape seem almost flat. The people in the corner add an awkwardness to the picture. If the photographer wanted to include people, I think he should have captured a photo that held more focus on their presence.

5. I’ve never done anything like the artist has in this picture, but if anything my style can be experimental, and the artist appears to have experimented a bit to get this product.
6. The focus is the ice cream toppings on the snail’s shell, but they aren’t blended well with one another. The syrup also looks rather fake. All together, these factors make the picture cheesy instead of witty. I also think the artist should have put more emphasis on the snail.
